Warranty Policy of Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company

In order to regulate the warranty process and clarify the rights and obligations related to products sold by Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company, the following Warranty Policy has been adopted and shall apply to all customers and branches, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below:

Chapter One: Warranty Validity

The warranty period shall commence from the date of signing the Delivery and Acceptance Report. If the customer, or their authorized representative, is unable to sign the Delivery and Acceptance Report for any reason, the invoice issuance date shall be deemed the commencement date of the warranty and shall be used to calculate the warranty period.

The original invoice must be presented in order to claim warranty service. The customer is required to retain the original invoice throughout the warranty period. No warranty claim shall be accepted without presentation of the original invoice.

Chapter Two: Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer shall bring the product to the branch from which the purchase was made.
  • Installation, operation, and periodic maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the recommendations provided in the manufacturer’s approved User Manual.
  • In the event of any leakage or malfunction in the product, the customer must immediately discontinue its use and deliver it to the service center or the branch from which it was purchased. The warranty shall not cover any additional damage resulting from delayed reporting or continued use of the product after the malfunction occurs.

Chapter Three: Warranty Scope and Coverage

The warranty applies to products sold by Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company in accordance with the following warranty periods:

1. Mechanical Equipment and Filters

(Filters – Multiport Valves – Pressure Gauges – Internal Fittings)

  • The locally manufactured filter body is covered against manufacturing defects for 60 months (5 years).
  • The imported filter body is covered against manufacturing defects for 24 months (2 years).
  • The multiport valve is covered against manufacturing defects for 12 months (1 year).
  • The warranty does not cover rubber components, pressure gauges, or internal fittings.
  • The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper operating pressure or mechanical breakage.
  • The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper storage or transportation.

2. Stainless Steel Products

(Ladders – Handrails – Waterfalls – Starting Blocks)

  • Covered against welding and manufacturing defects for 12 months (1 year).
  • The warranty does not cover corrosion resulting from:
  • Direct or indirect exposure to improperly balanced chemicals, as specified in the chemical product instructions.
  • Failure to perform periodic maintenance.
  • Improper storage or transportation.

3. Fiberglass Products

(Slides – Diving Boards)

  • Covered against manufacturing defects for 12 months (1 year).
  • The warranty does not cover:
  • Misuse.
  • Excessive loads beyond the applicable age and weight limits.
  • Holes or cuts resulting from sharp or severe friction.
  • Improper storage or transportation.

4. Electrical and Lighting Products

(Assembled Lights – Manufactured Lamps – Pool Heaters – Sauna Heaters)

  • Assembled lights are covered for 24 months (2 years) against manufacturing or assembly defects.
  • Electric heaters and sauna heaters are covered for 24 months (2 years) against manufacturing or assembly defects.
  • Lamps are covered for 24 months against manufacturing defects.

The following conditions must be met for the warranty to remain valid:

  • Proper grounding/earthing must be installed.
  • Electrical voltage must remain stable and consistent.
  • Installation and operation must comply with the technical specifications stated in the User Manual.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Malfunctions resulting from fluctuations or increases in electrical voltage/current.
  • Damage caused by water ingress resulting from improper installation or failure to follow the installation procedure specified in the User Manual.
  • Damage resulting from excessive electrical loads or operation without appropriate electrical protection.
  • Improper storage or transportation.

5. Carpentry Works and Sauna Rooms

  • Covered against manufacturing defects for 12 months (1 year).

The warranty does not cover:

  • Cracks resulting from moisture, mold, or inadequate ventilation.
  • Use outside the recommended operating conditions specified in the User Manual.
  • Improper storage or transportation.

6. Chemicals

(Chlorine – Disinfectants – Water Treatment Chemicals)

  • The manufacturer warrants that the product conforms to the applicable standard specifications at the time of supply only.
  • The manufacturer shall not be liable for any use that does not comply with the applicable safety instructions.

7. Plastic Products

(Pool Vacuums – Directional Fittings – Gratings – Skimmers – Mandrins – Junction Boxes – Hoses – Pipes)

  • The manufacturer warrants that the product conforms to the applicable standard specifications at the time of supply only.
  • The manufacturer shall not be liable for any use that does not comply with the applicable safety instructions.

Chapter Four: Product Inspection

Products covered under warranty shall be inspected within a period not exceeding fourteen (14) business days from the date of receipt, unless the technical condition requires otherwise.

Chapter Five: Circumstances in Which the Warranty Does Not Apply

The warranty shall not apply if the malfunction or damage is proven to have resulted, directly or indirectly, from any of the following circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Misuse, improper operation or storage, or failure to comply with the operating and maintenance instructions provided in the product manual.
  • Failure to perform periodic maintenance in accordance with the User Manual.
  • Installation, removal, maintenance, or repair performed by unauthorized parties.
  • Breakage, impact, burning, scratching, tampering, or modification of the product.
  • Exposure of the product to water, moisture, liquids, or flooding of the equipment room.
  • Use of electrical power sources that do not comply with the approved specifications, or exposure to high or low electrical voltage.
  • Tampering with serial numbers or removing or defacing identification labels.
  • Using the product under operating conditions for which it was not designed or in a manner inconsistent with its technical specifications.
  • Dry operation or operation without adequate water flow.
  • Malfunctions resulting from external factors or unsuitable environmental conditions.

The warranty also does not cover:

Chapter Six: Warranty Procedures

  • The customer shall allow Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company to inspect the product in order to determine the cause of the malfunction.
  • The appropriate action, whether repair or replacement of damaged parts, shall be determined based on the results of the technical inspection.
  • All parts replaced during the warranty period shall become the property of Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company.
  • If the customer fails to collect the product within fourteen (14) days from the date they are notified that it is ready for collection, a storage fee of SAR 50 per day of delay shall apply.

Chapter Seven: Manufacturer’s Warranty

  • The product warranty and workmanship warranty are provided by the manufacturer or its authorized agent.
  • Warranty and maintenance services are subject to the terms, conditions, and policies of the manufacturer, as specified in its warranty documentation or official channels.
  • Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company shall not be responsible for:
    • Repair duration.
    • Availability of spare parts.
    • Quality of service.
    • Any compensation, claims, or complaints arising from warranty or maintenance procedures provided by the manufacturer.
  • Repair and maintenance work shall be carried out in accordance with the procedures adopted by the manufacturer and subject to the availability of materials and spare parts at the relevant time, without commitment to a specific completion period.

Chapter Eight: Out-of-Warranty Repair Policy

  • Where a malfunction is not covered by the warranty, or where the warranty period has expired, the provisions of this Chapter shall apply.
  • Technical inspection and diagnostic fees must be paid in advance. The applicable fee shall be determined according to the type of product and the rates published by Customer Service. Such fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether the customer accepts or rejects the repair quotation.
  • Following inspection, the Company shall provide a detailed quotation specifying:
    • The required repair.
    • Required parts.
    • Expected completion period.
    • Total cost inclusive of tax.
    • Validity period of the quotation.
  • Repairs shall only be carried out after the customer provides written or electronic approval of the quotation and pays the full repair cost in advance.
  • The out-of-warranty repair period shall not exceed forty-five (45) business days from the date the customer approves and pays the quotation. This period may be extended if parts unavailable locally must be imported, in which case the customer shall be notified in advance.
  • The Company warrants completed repairs for thirty (30) calendar days from the date the customer receives the product. This warranty is limited exclusively to the parts actually replaced or repaired and does not extend to any other components or malfunctions.
  • If the customer rejects the quotation, the Company shall retain only the inspection fees already paid, and the customer shall collect the product within the prescribed period; otherwise, applicable storage fees and disposal procedures may apply.
  • If the repair is technically impossible for any reason, the Company shall retain only the inspection fee, and the product shall be returned to the customer in its existing condition together with a detailed technical report.
  • If, after expiration of the warranty, the customer requests replacement of the product with a new product, such replacement shall be at the Company’s discretion and subject to the prices applicable at the time of replacement. The Company may deduct the estimated value of the old product based on its technical assessment.

Chapter Nine: General Provisions

  • The customer shall comply with the operating and usage instructions contained in the product manual.
  • Any additional damage resulting from continued use of the product after a malfunction has appeared shall not be covered by the warranty.
  • This Policy shall constitute an integral part of the terms and conditions of sale adopted by Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company.

Chapter Ten: Limitation of Liability

The obligations of Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company under this Policy shall be limited strictly to those expressly stated herein.

The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential damages.
  • Losses resulting from interruption of operation or loss of use.
  • Any damages exceeding the value of the product subject to the warranty.

Chapter Eleven: Disputes Regarding the Cause of Malfunctions

In the event of any disagreement regarding the cause of a malfunction or whether it is covered by the warranty, the technical inspection report issued by the authorized entity or manufacturer shall be considered the final technical reference.

Chapter Twelve: Modifications to the Product

Any modification, addition, or alteration made to the product after delivery without the prior written approval of Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company shall result in the complete voiding of the warranty.

Chapter Thirteen: Transfer of Ownership

The warranty applies exclusively to the original customer and shall not transfer to any other party if the product is sold or otherwise transferred.

Chapter Fourteen: Reporting Malfunctions

The customer shall notify Bin Taleb Swimming Pools Company of any malfunction immediately upon discovery.

The Company shall not be liable for any damage or malfunction resulting from delayed reporting or continued operation after the malfunction has been discovered.
